"Reject striving and the endless pressure to prove that you're a person of value. Rejoice in the mystery of being hidden in plain sight, of being covered by simplicity and being seen clearly by only a few, of being fully known by one.
This kind of preservation has been done by the Lord for your own good. It reveals the wisdom of the secret place—that in this Kingdom, we only grow when we remain buried in Him and when we accept that not every part of our journey is to be public. The oil is produced in private."
–Ezinne Zara (Orange Writer)
So, some time this week—Monday to be precise—the Lord woke me up and was like, "I've got something for you on Ezinne's IG page", so off I went. And upon finding this, I just knew it was for me, because you know, He'd told me already (obviously).
These days, as if to give credence to the fact that the season I'm going through is one that God is keenly aware of, I keep getting an influx of words: on IG, in church, in books, from people, almost everywhere.
It's like God who knows that I'm more-often-than-not a step away from despair these days, keeps coming through these people and things to tell me, "You're ever before me. I've got you. I'm aware, and I'm here!"
These words from Orange Writer really struck me though, as they stood as both a confirmation of what I'd already known, and went further to finally give me a why too. And today, what I just feel is gratefulness:
To a God who doesn't think the issues of our hearts as something to small to immerse himself in,
and to the people who choose to yield and be used by God every single day.
I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.
